Challenge

The Customer is a UK based company where people are too busy to find time for organizing their laundry pick up. There was no competition between dry cleaning services as a result of which cost and quality were not maintained. Additionally, the market of the dry cleaning shops was getting tighter. Therefore, the client has come up with an idea to build an online marketplace that would provide the end users the opportunity to find the desired service provider via location and book pickup and delivery of their laundry online.

Solution

We offered a web based and mobile compatible Online Marketplace platform for Dry Cleaning service providers with two modules: Dry Cleaners Module with the following features: - Register as a dry cleaning service provider - Indicate the served areas - Provide a price list of the provided services - Indicate the availability for pickup and delivery - Manage the customer orders - Get online payments for the provided services - Extract statistical and financial reports Customers module with the following features: - Register as a customer indicating the area of interest - Get comparative estimated pricing for the laundry provided by the best service providers in their area - Book pickup and delivery upon availability (schedule recurring bookings) - Pay online using Paypal or Credit Card - Track the status of the order - Get notified via email and SMS - Share experience with the provided services

Results

The client was highly satisfied with the modern and robust web based marketplace platform that was delivered for dry cleaners to offer services online and enable the accountability and for customers to identify the best matching service provider to hand over the laundry, track the order status online and pay online. - The platform helped the dry cleaners to increase the sales and by maintaining the quality to stand out between other providers - Customers to get a robust and user friendly tool for selecting the best cleaner in the area and process the order online
